Can anyone identify the new tires that I recently had installed?
The winner receives an internet high five.
Hint: The answer is in the tread pattern.

I had these exact same Contis on my Astra. Excellent tires.
I just don't remember the exact name it was something like Conti Contact Pro or whatever.

Continental ExtremeContact something? I can't read the rest.

I was going to guess a Continental ...and then it saw it is one.
I never realized they put that there

great tires, I had the old version on my old car. They tended to have wimpy sidewalls though, so watch out for that

I got so excited because I saw my tread pattern too, but alas, I was too late. I have had problems with the sidewall folding over though. I will probably have to replace them sooner rather than later because I'm going to wear the edges down too fast. Damn hooning.

Would these be a worthy successor to my OEM Bridgestone Potenza RFT? They are a bit pricey to replace...

Do I get an official $kayprize?

says right there in the tread, and I also knew already because I have a set on my BMW

Just put these on my wifes A4. Nice tire.

Got a stack of them in the garage right now (for when it gets too cold for my beloved PSS).

I don't have any experience with those Bridgestones but I liked these so much the first time around I bought them again. They don't have the outright grip of a summer performance tire but the extended tread wear is great and I honestly can't tell if there is any less grip anyway.

These are all seasons? The Potenzas are ultra high performance summer tires that more or less make it impossible for me to drive in snow, so i was thinking of going all season.

Got a set on my B5 A4 Avant 2.8Q. When they were new, the car was INCREDIBLE in the snow. Now it's merely 'highly above average.'

Too much void area.

Man do I love these tires. I put them on my car roughly a year and a half ago. They're fantastic. Quite, grippy (enough for me at least, and I love cornering over straight line speed), and are just an overall great tire.

I've had them on for a year and a half. At what point did the sidewalls start to get "wimpy"?

it wasn't that they wore out, per-se, it was that they got damaged pretty easily...but they seemed to keep on going so...

These are indeed all season tires. They make a summer version called the DW. The added S in DWS stands for snow. I haven't driven the DWS tires in snow but I have experienced them in freezing cold rain and they performed very well.

I agree. This is my second set and I really enjoyed them the first time around.

Ah, Dry Wet Snow, I take it? I'll definitely look into these when my car needs some new shoes.
